Poem a day challenge #8 Reasons to be cheerful

(Tribute to the late John Diamond)
Random acts of kindness given
Throwing a party no reason
Putting a smile on stranger’s face
Uncontrollable laughter
Catching up with Sue at the pub
Pausing to smell a rose petal
Barbecue with May at Anabel’s
Getting broody at the sight of baby twins
Stroking warm fur of a stray
A cuppa at Charlie’s market stall
Miss Hong Kong
Chilling to Kings of Leon
Sound of waves washing over me
Rainfall giving dusty world shower
Words uttered at right moment
Ecstasy of first time parents
Moment of falling in love
Listening to birdsong from above
