Story of I and me

I eyed Me across the dance floor Me
felt his presence interest played it cool
kept swaying to the music opened her
eyes to find I mirroring her moves smiles
inside quietly and so began a lifetime of
love and hate simultaneous alternate
rows I would put Me in the doghouse give
her the silent treatment beat her with the
stick but eventually let her off the hook
forgive her they’ll kiss and make up
reconcile be the bestest friends again
and Me whenever she screwed up
could rest assure that redemption
was possible for without forgiveness
it will always be out of her reach
