Eloquent and heart breaking at the same time

a study of the soul

who told us that we could never be good enough. why were we never taught how to deal with loneliness before we ever felt it and why were we never taught to love ourselves before we ever had the chance to hate. the world spins backwards because the evil is rewarded and the good is punished and where is the justice if criminals live like kings. where is reason if my abusers are honored and their victims live like trash. why are their paper cuts kissed and bandaged while our bruises swell and our cuts bleed. why are they given gifts and we are only given razor blades with which to find some semblance of happiness. why are they still given precious breaths of life when each moment of ours is a breath closer to death and why do their hearts not ache when they see what pain we’ve endured…
