cry not for me

cry not for me nor be sad

for i have gone to a far better place

no more pain tears sorrow

when the skies are blue

know that i am smiling

sending you my blessing

when the stars are twinkling

think of me

i have come to my journey’s end

you have a way to go

the living must carry on living

courageously joyously fully

cry not for me nor be sad

for i have gone to a far better place

no more pain tears sorrow

About cho wan yau

Teacher by day poet/writer by night. Words have been my first love and will be my last. As a child I locked myself into the toilet devouring books which transported me to distant lands. Poetry shared penned from 2009-2010 in a titanic struggle to stay sane at Heartbreak Hotel. Please check it out on chowanyau@wordpress.com. Any comments or feedback welcome. Why not share your story with me, because we all have one, don't we?

  1. how do you feel now? I hope you’re little bit better.

  2. I am glad we could arrange the funeral quickly and Mum can rest in peace rather than in the hospital mortuary. I will go visit and bring her some flowers and try to go as often as I can before flying back. The living must carry on living, Mum would have wanted that. Nothing would make her happier than to see her children happy and making something of their life

Thanks for asking and caring.I have learnt about chinese traditions regarding funerals the dos and don’ts.

    How are you keeping?
